Segment Sales Manager - Services

Universal Electric Corporation is seeking a Segment Sales Manager.  As a Segment Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets in the Services Segment. As part of this effort, you will analyze the current landscape, and develop strategies and corresponding sales plans to achieve growth expectations.  You will collaborate with our existing sales channel, and assist in developing alternate sales channels and partners as deemed necessary to achieve the desired outcome. 


Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute annual sales plans to achieve objectives
  • Develop additional sales channels and partners and increase sales performance outside of current revenue streams
  • Assess market/customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and meet potential new customers within a broad range of market segments
  • Recommend new service ideas, enhancements and customizations required to drive growth
  • Develop key value propositions for services in all market segments
  • Build relationships with key sales, marketing and engineering personnel
  • Assist in developing sales collateral in cooperation with the marketing team
  • Adhere to and promote UEC’s values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a leader and supports the continued growth of the company
  • Perform other relate duties and assignments as required
  • Attend industry tradeshows
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • MBA preferred
  • 5-10 years of progressive responsibility in sales and/or marketing roles
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, preferably with a manufacturing company
  • Knowledge of electrical products preferred


Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk and communicate with others
  • Ability to travel including air travel.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
